During the first consultation, the firm's lawyers outline the firm's fees and expenses. In line with Bar regulations, the client is invited to pay retainers as the mandate develops. Invoices detail the work carried out by the firm. As per the law, fees are determined not only by the time spent on executing the mandate, but also by factors such as the complexity, deadlines, the significance of the interests involved, the outcome achieved and the lawyer's level of experience.

In case of financial hardship, clients may be entitled to legal aid, provided strict eligibility criteria are met, such as the area of law involved. This aid may include a state-funded advance for legal and/or lawyer's fees. In such cases, the hourly rate and fees are set by the relevant Court, along with the terms for repayment of the State's advance.
